WordPress Making our Lives Easier

Businesses have many choices these days if they want to create a website. They can hire a small design firm, a large design firm, a freelance designer/developer and pay an hourly, monthly, or fixed free for the work or they can build the website themselves in house. With all the emerging and changing web design technologies there is a little known developing niche that budget concerned businesses are becoming aware of: customized templates.

As every designer/developer knows in order to maximize on efficiency and profit they should have at their disposal a toolbox of page templates and styles templates previously built and tested that they can customize for each new client. But what happens when the client wants to be able to make regular site updates and maintenance without having to know HTML? Enter wordpress!

Lately certain web designers and developers have been teaming up to build WordPress website template themes and plugins that create a huge profit margin. Thesis Themes Framework is one such team. The theme implements a back end foundation behind any website that is able to be customized and maintained right in the comfort of the WordPress dashboard panel. Thus enabling regular Joes to be able to update, maintain and customize their own website without having to really touch any code. And for those code friendly users Thesis Themes Framework has complete access to the CSS and HTML files so you can customize to your hearts content.

So with WordPress developers and designers can save time and make more money coding/designing for clients. The question then becomes what will the next innovation be? And how can we as designers and developers prepare for it or even be at the forefront of creating it?

Your thoughts?
